Adoption-Friendly School

We also pledge to be an adoption friendly school and are using the ‘Becoming an Adoption Friendly School’ resource to help us achieve this. We also train all teaching and teaching assistant staff in supporting children who have suffered from attachment, trauma and loss.

Adoption-Friendly Schools Charter

As an adoption-friendly school, we work hard to:

  • identify children’s needs
  • prioritise relationships
  • respond emphatically to behaviour
  • work in true partnership with parents
  • share information sensitively and effectively
  • reflect and protect adoptive families
  • support our staff
  • use our resources wisely

If you would like to discuss this further, please contact Mrs Cave 01759 302224 or email
