Barrister Visit

Today Mr Mitchell, a barrister, came into school to talk to Years 5 and 6 about what his job involves and what you need to do to become a lawyer.

After listening and asking questions, lots of pupils really liked the idea of becoming a barrister, not just to wear the gown and wig!

Emmie in Year 6 said: ‘I found it really interesting as I didn’t know that children under ten years old can go to court as a witness!’

Sophie  in Year 6 added, ‘I found out lots of new things such as the fact that barristers existed as I had only heard of lawyers and solicitors.  For me this could be a new interest!’
